FIFA Coins evolved from these reptiles and were themselves diapsids. During the Jurassic and Cretaceous Periods the dinosaurs ruled the earth. A mass extinction ended the Mesozoic era.

Definition: dinosaur ('di-né-sôr) [Gr.,=terrible lizard], any of a group (Dinosauria) of extinct often very large chiefly terrestrial carnivorous or herbivorous reptiles of the Mesozoic era.
