Believe it or not Iguanadon was the first dinosaur to be discovered. It was discovered in 1822 by Mary Ann Mantell while digging in her backyard. The fossil wasn't described until three years later by her husband, geologist Gideon Mantell.

Iguanadon was an herbivore that ate ferns and palms with a long giraffe like tongue. Its main predators were T-Rex, Megolasarus, and Allispinaz. Iguanadon protected itself with claw-like thumbs.

Iguanadon is believed to have been a social dinosaur moving in packs. It laid eggs and most likely took care of its young.
